The Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham Planned Parenthood Prayer Days: 7 a.-2 p.
January 11, February 8, March 14, April 10 Good Friday Stations of the Cross, May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14, December 12
***Join our Rector and Pastor, Fr. Charles Hough IV, as he leads Good Friday Stations of the Cross,  April 10, 9 a.m. at 4600 Gulf Freeway at Cullen Planned Parenthood.
Good Friday is historically the busiest abortion day of the year for Planned Parenthood. Our presence in peaceful prayer reveals Christ victorious over death and sin.

    • Choose & Commit to Make a Difference - Countless lives will be changed, hearts touched, and souls saved by the grace of God working through the witness of us, His people.
      •
        • Prayer and fasting: Christ told us that some demons can only be driven out by prayer and fasting. The two go hand in hand.
        • Peaceful vigil: Our most visible aspect is a peaceful prayer vigil outside an abortion facility.
        • Community outreach: Our message is proactively taken to the community through focused efforts.

Daily Prayer: “Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby (name) I have spiritually adopted who is danger of abortion. Amen” Archbishop  Fulton J Sheen

Who & Why we do this?

Since the first coordinated 40 Days for Life campaign took place in 2007 through the end of 2015, local campaign leaders have reported these blessings — God’s answers to their prayers:

    • 6428 total campaigns
    • 56 countries
    • 1,000,000 individual participants
    • 16,742 lives saved from abortion
    • 196 abortion workers quit
    • 104  abortion facilities closed
    • Churches have been activated and united for life
    • New people have been recruited, educated, and mobilized
    • People have turned back to God with renewed hope

40 Days for Life requires prayer, hard work, and personal sacrifice, but the campaign is actually quite simple.  Pray, Fast, Act, Alms to end Abortion:

    Pray & Fast:

    • Daily: Spiritually adopt an unborn baby in danger of abortion, pray: “Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby (name) I have spiritually adopted who is danger of abortion. Amen” Arbsp Fulton J. Sheen

    • Daily pray and fast to end abortion at home or join others in front of 4600 Gulf Fwy Planned Parenthood, 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. or any abortion facility.

    • Pray with our 2nd Saturday of every month Our Lady of Walsingham Parish Prayer Day. Call 713.447.7141 to register or carpool.Pray for those being persecuted in their defense of human life, especially David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress.

    • Remember these intentions in your Mass prayers and at your Holy Hour
    • Pray/Fast Daily: (Mass, rosary, penance, holy hours,…)
      • To change hearts and protect all life from conception to natural death
      • Women who are at risk of having an abortion
      • Innocent children who are at risk of perishing
      • Men and women who carry the pain of a past abortion experience
      • Workers at Planned Parenthood facilities and abortion centers
      • Local, regional, and national leaders
      • Revival and renewal in our churches
      • Repentance and healing from abortion throughout our nation
    • Fasting is a powerful means of drawing closer to God by emptying ourselves. Fast from foods, television, apathy, indifference.

    Act:
    • Become informed and VOTE only for those who will protect life from conception to natural death. Remember politicians start their careers on school boards, city councils, and county positions. Every election is important, every vote counts!
    • Pray outside Planned Parenthood or any abortion facility to be the presence of Christ the healer, Christ's divine mercy, Christ's hope and charity in love to all.
